The SCOTT Patrol E2 30 Backpack Kit is the ultimate freeskiing avalanche backpack, especially for Australians due to its ease of travel. It features the all-new Alpride E2 Airbag system, the latest and greatest airbag technology. This fully electronic airbag system pushes the boundaries of innovation, thanks to its supercapacitor technology.
Supercapacitors give the Patrol E2 Airbag a lot of functionality. It charges via a wall plug-in and holds its charge for a number of days, then it is re-chargeable on hill via the 2 AA batteries. This gives the bag zero-cost user practice, and the ability to re-charge while out on a multi-day trip.
Where previous airbags have had limitations travelling, (gas canisters and lithium-ion batteries do not fly well), the Alpride E2 system is a breeze. De-charge the supercapacitors, disconnect the handle and go. Then plug it all back in when you land and you are fully functional again.
