Maintain the integrity of your premium Hestra leather gloves with the essential Hestra Leather Balm. Designed specifically to keep your gloves in prime condition, this balm is a must-have accessory for any serious skier or snowboarder. Its specialized formula not only prolongs the life of your gloves but also enhances their suppleness and water-repellent properties. Perfect for the unpredictable weather conditions often faced on Australian slopes, where maintaining gear in top condition is crucial.
Applying this balm is a breeze. Simply use a polishing cloth to rub it in until the leather is fully saturated. Do note, however, that light-colored leathers may experience a slight darkening. This is a small price to pay for the extended life and improved performance of your gloves. It's important to mention that Hestra advises using this balm specifically for goatskin or cowhide leather gloves. Other types of leather such as deerskin, elk leather, peccary, carpincho, and hair sheep, common in dress gloves, are not suited for this treatment as they do not absorb the balm effectively, potentially leading to a sticky surface and uneven coloration.
Hestra recommends only using our leather balm for goatskin or cowhide leather. Other leathers such as deerskin, elk leather, peccary, carpincho, and hair sheep which are more common in our dress are oftentimes not suitable to be treated with leather balm. The reason is these leathers don't absorb the balm very well and thus may leave a sticky surface and also cause the leather to look mottled with colour variations.
Whether you're tackling the slopes of Perisher or exploring the backcountry of Falls Creek, ensuring your gear is well-maintained is key to a great experience. The Hestra Leather Balm is an indispensable accessory for anyone serious about their snow sports, offering a simple way to keep your gloves resistant to the elements and ready for whatever the Australian mountains throw your way.
