The Black Crows Orb is in our opinion the prototype ski for Australian skiers who prefer to ski off the piste, but understand the inevitability of skiing on it as well.
Dual titanal plates provide stability at all speeds, the 91mm waist is ideal for firm conditions in the morning and soft in the afternoon, and a rockered, tapered tip profile give solid feel and turn initiation in less than ideal snow.
We tested this ski in Austria in March 2017 and found it to be a joy, great carving long arcs on the groomers but the geometry got it going in some boot deep fresh snow on the sides.
Moderate width: 91 mm waist.
Front rocker: pivot and float.
Medium classic camber: classic camber underfoot with moderate ski/snow contact - a good balance between stability and manoeuvrability.
Double lengthwise titanal plates: pop and firmness. this ski is a beast.
Energetic flex with lots of grip along the whole length of the ski: sporty and high performance.
