Alpine Touring Bindings

Alpine Touring bindings have seen a huge transformation in the last few years, with safer and burlier pin bindings coming out and the boom of safe, efficient, and bomber Hybrid Bindings.

The first step in deciding what binding to go for. Hybrid bindings offer Alpine-like performance at a slightly heavier weight. Full Pin bindings give the lowest weights and most efficient uphill characteristics but can be less confident on the downhills. Frame bindings are still kicking around but are only recommended for people who don't have Pin boots, they ski well but suffer uphill.

We sell the most Hybrid bindings because Australian's like to travel and often want resort and BC performance out of the one ski. Higher DIN options include the Fritschi Tecton, Salomon Shift and Marker Duke PT 13. If you are a lighter skier and prefer lower DIN options, the Salomon Shift 10 and Marker Duke PT 11 are your picks.

Full Pin bindings are best for people who are using their Backcountry setup exclusively in the Backcountry. Our favourite Pin offerings come from ATK, G3 and Fritschi. We have extensive experiences on all of these bindings and can help guide you in the right direction if you need.
