After yesterday’s successful mission on the Italian side skiing the Aiguille d’Entreves we concluded that if the weather remained the same our best chance of skiing some steeps was in a similar location, and now that Jerome had tested how I’d cope with some basic climbing we set our sights on a larger objective –

TR: Chamonix 2012 Day 4 – Steep Skiing – South Face of L’Aiguille d’Entreves
After yesterday’s aborted mission on the Glacier Rond we figured if we wanted to ski a steep line a better option would be to head over to the Italian side which is the South Face of the massif, and basking in sunshine we were anticipating being presented with some lovely corn snow. So after heading
TR: Chamonix Day 17 – Glacier de Toule & Courmayeur
After a well-earned day off it was time to ski. While there had been a terrible foehn blowing in Chamonix, on the other side of the range in Italy it had been snowing, so we decided to head through the tunnel to check it out. The scenes at either end of the tunnel could not

TR: Glacier de Toule, Italy
This is a repost of a Trip Report posted on ski.com.au and TGR in January, and the public reaction to it formed the nucleus of my desire to create this site: We met with our guide Jerome at the Compagnie des Guides in Chamonix, which is conveniently next to our hotel in the morning, to
