Richard Ross is obsessed with snow.
Sure there are things like gadgets & gizmos, cars, golf and Essendon to keep him distracted in the warmer months, little more than a distraction will they ever be.
A childhood spent yearning for the slopes of Mt Buller and the cosy family ski club. Teens spent perfecting the craft. University years meant schedules were manipulated for maximum ski time, and finally a full-time career in the snow.
A decade Instructing at Mt Buller, and Vail, The Canyons and Deer Valley in the USA contributed to a depth and breadth of understanding of the sport, and some strong opinions too. APSI Level 4, Trainer/Examiner & Technical Committee membership were the results of hard work and focus over these years.
A poorly disguised ski ‘date’ in front of a panel of judges established the bona fides of Nicole, which led to a proposal in the wild Utah powder.
A book named The Powder Bible written expressly to empower skiers with good travel information.
And finally this blog, going from strength to strength now in it’s third year.
