Instagram is a Smartphone app for iPhone and Android that has taken the world by storm. Its original appeal was adding quirky filters to your photos for that ‘vintage look’ but it soon become a photo sharing juggernaut and was recently swallowed up by Facebook for a cool $1 Billion. Wow.

This is a user guide for Instagram on iPhone & tagging your images with #aussieskier to appear here.

Step 1 – Find and download Instagram on the App Store

Step 2 – Register a username/password and link to your preferred social media networks

Step 3 – Press the ‘Camera’ button bottom centre of the app to compose and take your shot – alternatively press the ‘two squares’ icon on the bottom left to choose a shot you have already taken:

Step 4 – Choose your filters and/or effects (or none), Press the ‘Green Tick’ when you are happy:

Step 5 – enter your caption – this is where you must include #aussieskier somewhere in the text, also include where you are & a few words on what you’re doing:

The good news is it remembers your hashtags so it will become a one click affair:

Step 6 – You are done! Your photo has appeared on your timeline and with the magic of the Internets it will appear on aussieskier.com/social
